Giving Thanks... and eating some bacon.

Hello my lovelies.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to take the time to share some gratitude to everyone who stops by and reads once in a while... to the lovely supporters of my etsy shop who keep my gas tank and tummy full... and to my friends and family. :)

I am so grateful for the fact that I have supportive friends and family (for the most part. They can't be family unless they drive you crazy sometimes right?) who have really driven me to graduation this December. I am so excited and scared for what's to come after I graduate but I'm really glad to start a new chapter. I'm thankful for my boyfriend who basically fits in both categories of friend and family who actually reads these posts and remembers them better than I do... Love you all!

Thank you for sticking with my blog if you have or if you are new and joining my cheers to novelty everyday. There's always something fresh to celebrate and that's what this blog is kind of about-- random events and things that make me feel more aware of my surroundings.

So... thanksgiving... I actually don't do anything for turkey day. There have been a few years where my family was fortunate to gather in the same state to have a fun dinner together but for the most part, holidays pass by as days off from school and work.

I guess we all celebrate in different ways... huh? ;D

Since my family doesn't really do thanksgiving... so maybe that's why the timing doesn't matter for me. Good food is good food any time of the year!

Let's start off with some tempting recipes you should try out over the break...

Bacon wrapped dates recipe. DROOL.

Farro and Roasted Squash Pilaf

Farro and Roasted Squash Pilaf... DOUBLE DROOL.

Vegan Greek Eggplant Lasagna. OMG-- I'm so going to try making this...

So that covers my three yummy picks.

I know you are all probably like.. Dana.. why didn't you give us recipe ideas before Thanksgiving?
Well... I'm assuming you all had plenty to cook and eat if you celebrate turkey day with a bang...
so these can be extra projects for when the leftovers run out. lol.

Don't want anyone to overcook and waste food when there are people out there who can't afford a decent meal right?

Stay happy. Stay thankful.

Dana
