Product Review: Aromi Eyeshadow

Hiya everyone.

Hope all is well. I haven't reviewed a product in a while huh?
Well I fairly recently won some beautiful eyeshadow from Aromi in a giveaway.

Aromi is a Minneapolis-based beauty company that specializes in handmade perfumes, colognes, and cosmetics.  You can browse or purchase Aromi's products on etsy or here on the main site

Before I get started... here's the story. The first package shipped out to me got lost so I contacted Hannah from Aromi and they sent me another one. The funny thing was that the first one got rerouted to me after going to the wrong address and the second one never made it. I hope my mailman doesn't have some vendetta against me. :X Anyway, I'm sharing this story because Aromi's customer service was awesome and when I suggested returning the second one that would arrive, she told me to keep it and give it to someone. How nice right? And I was just a giveaway winner-- not quite a customer!

Well, let's move on to the actual product I received!

I won Aromi's Emerald eyeshadow. It is a luxurious, deep green that is gorgeous for Fall 2012.
This color works best for a lid color or for contouring. A fun way to wear this color is using it as an eyeliner; gently line the eyes with a wet brush.

Each eyeshadow comes in a jar with a classy black lid with 0.8 grams / 0.03 ounces of eyeshadow.

This shade is free of synthetic dyes and is natural, gluten free, vegan, and cruelty free.

Ingredients: Mica, Silica, Zinc Oxide, Magnesium Stearate, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Tin Oxide (CI 778161) May Contain (+/-) Mica, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499

Now what I love about this product is that this emerald shade is not too dark or too light. I'm not much of a makeup gal but when I do use anything, it's eyeshadow. Often, eyeshadows are too vibrant and can't be used unless you are heading out for some glamorous night. But for the most part, us working women and young adults prefer the softer casual look.

Here's what the product looked like:

It was just as pictured in the shop and the packaging was lovely. My ecotools brush picked up the mineral eyeshadow very easily as well. :) This is what it looked like on me:

See what I mean by the perfect amount of sparkle? It's not overbearing at all but still has a nice glittery texture to it that's refreshing. Love it! Thanks for the giveaway Aromi! :)

I really encourage you to go check out the huge range of makeup products Aromi offers.
They have lipstick, perfumes, and even cologne gents! ;D Plus, their customer service is excellent.

Thanks for stopping by and reading everyone!

Cheers,
Dana
