Strange and New Things

I always come across strange and interesting facts and thought... why not share them with you all?!

It's time for some nerdy facts:

It's really cool and odd how little we know about our world. Let's go have an adventure!

What is this adorable cotton candy butterfly you say?
Well... it's a rosy maple moth. I was stunned that this was real because it looks like someone's pet moth sprayed with pink hair dye and photoshopped into a little mythical creature. Look it how cute and small and FLUFFY it is?!

They mainly feed on maples-- hence the name!

Habitat: Deciduous forests.
Range: Nova Scotia west through Quebec to Ontario and Minnesota; south to Dade County, Florida, the Gulf Coast, and east Texas.
I need to go find one of these!! :D

Moving onto a pretty innovative and awesome idea...

"How would you like to grow into a tree after you die?

This is a Bios Urn, a completely biodegradable urn that contains a single tree seed. When planted, the tree seed is nourished by and absorbs the nutrients from the ashes. The urn itself is made from coconut shell and contains compacted peat and cellulose. The ashes are mixed with this, and the seed placed inside. You can even choose which type of tree you'd like to grow!

So which would you prefer; leaving behind a tree or a tombstone?"

I always knew I didn't want t be buried and take up more ground space when I died... I think I found my solution. I would love to be a tree!! :D How about you?

  2. That moth looks like something from a book of fairy tales. So pretty. And, becoming a tree...wow! That sounds like a fairy tale too! Enjoy your day.
