Living Earth Botanicals Giveaway and Review

Hello beautiful people!

I'm back with another amazing sponsor: Living Earth Botanicals

Based in Virginia Beach, VA, Living Earth Botanicals launched in November 2011 with a simple mission: to bring beauty to the body and mind. With a rising global consciousness of harmful synthetic materials, we are entering into an age of simplicity in regards to what goes on our skin. The world is demanding a better, safer alternative, and Living Earth Botanicals is ready to fulfill those demands.

I had the awesome opportunity to review some of The Living Earth Botanicals' products so here I go!

The package arrived safely in a brown box with lots of styrofoam to keep my products safe during travel. Inside, I found two lovely products that I chose myself. The packaging for both products are so professional while being simple and informative. There's a little recycled bamboo price tag on it that you can rip off for gifting as well. Very convenient!

I chose this amazing Lavender and Rose Aromatherapy in a Jiffy product that's only $5. I'm pretty obsessed with lavender and when it's mixed with something else like rose, it's even better because you get something earthy and floral. This oil is great for relieving stress and dries nicely against your skin. I like to roll it onto the sides of my neck so that throughout my day, I get whiffs of lavender and rose. It's so soothing and refreshing to experience that fragrance once in a while throughout some long days. Another great place to apply it is to your inner wrists since you come in contact with your hands regularly. I love this product-- I already see myself buying more when I run out. They also come in so many different scents!!

I also loved what the Living Earth Botanicals had to say about lavender because I think it's spot on: "French Lavender encourages relaxation and compassion. Adding it to your routine can help you combat day to day stress."

My second pick was this Activated Bamboo Charcoal Mask for $15.

This "Masque of Earl" was really cool because you receive loose powder and prepare it into a spreadable mask texture by adding some water or toner to it. I used water (and the directions are conveniently on the container) and blended it with some of the bamboo charcoal powder to make the mask. I spread it evenly across my entire face and waited for it to dry for 20 minutes. It dries pretty quickly (the photo above shows it freshly applied) but I always end up washing off face masks later than I'm supposed to-- anyone do that too? :) I get carried away doing something on the computer and voila, it's past 20 minutes. Oops.

I rinsed off my mask with warm water and here's the cool part. This Masque of Earl targets pores on your face and acts as a detoxifier. I knew it worked when I washed off all of the mask but found certain pores (especially the skin surrounding my nose and my t-zone) were still covered in black specks of the mask. Since the warm water opened up my pores already, I gently exfoliated those speckled areas and a lot of my clogged pores came out really easily. It was pretty fascinating because after you're done, your face will feel SO smooth, firm, and rejuvenated. I can't wait to continue using this product!

I am so pleased with The Living Earth Botanicals' mission for natural and affordable skin care. Their prices are so reasonable but I can see that their products are greatly thought out and created with love. I hope they continue to grow because you guys know how I feel about natural skin care! Here are some lovely items in their shop currently along with some interview questions.
1. How did your shop get started?

Having each had a strong passion for skin care, fragrances, and aromatherapy, we came to realize that the expensive store bought items we were using on ourselves and our children were crammed full of dangerous chemicals. Over time, these chemicals can create more skin problems than they prevent, most especially for those of us with sensitive skin. Fueled by this thought, we began to dabble in making our own, and Living Earth Botanicals was born. Our skin has never been so healthy, and we are walking testimonials to what we create!

5pk, Summer Sun, Lemongrass, Orange, Ginger Soap, Yellow, Floral, Citrus, Sunshine, 4oz.
Summer Sun Soap 5 pk ($20)
2. What is your favorite product to design/make?

Our favorite product to make are lip balms -- coming up with flavor combinations and different oils to use to make the perfect lip balm is so much fun. Lately we’ve been doing lip tints and working with different color combinations. The possibilities are endless!

Tinted Lip Balm, Nude Lip Tint, Sheer Pink Lip Tint, Rosy Pink Lip Tint, CottonCandy Kisses Lip Tint, Lip Gloss, .25oz
Cotton Candy Lip Tint ($8)
3. What’s the most challenging part of your line of work?

The most challenging part of our line of work is our work space. We have a tiny studio that we are slowly outgrowing. We look forward to the day when we can have a larger space that can accommodate our growing business.

And now for the awesome giveaway! One lucky international winner will be winning this amazing prize pack full of heavenly skincare products from Living Earth Botanicals.
